Housekeeping

Which is the title of a movie, not a song.

I do have quite a bit of housekeeping to do around here, though (to say nothing of my own house!), because I'm swimming in awards again.

I'm still not sure how that's quite possible since I haven't been blogging all that much, but I appreciate it, nonetheless.

First up, from my favourite ex-pat journalist, Dumdad comes this lovely award:

It also arrived from Kaycie, at Lost in the Bible Belt. I've always enjoyed reading Dumdad's musings from The Other Side of Paris, and have for quite a while. Kaycie is a fairly new friend, whom I met over at Confessions of a Rotten correspondent. I'm supposed to bestow this rather sharp looking award on ten people. If I've gotten it from two people, does it mean I need to find twenty blogs to give it to? Hmmm.

Next up, is this award that first came from Mya, and then came from RC.

It's a platonic love, kissy, appreciation kind of thing. Description:

‘It’s a big kiss, of the chaste, platonic kind, from me to you with the underlying ‘thanks’ message implied. I really do appreciate your support and your friendship, and yes, your comments.’

I do need to quote Mya, from Missing You Already, here, because her little description of me made me all weepy:

Jen at A Snowballs Chance in Hell – because she’s a great blogger finding it a bit of a struggle to keep up the pace as her pregnancy advances. This award will look very pretty against your black blog, my dear. Do hope you can get some sleep soon.

And that's not to diminish the marvelous Rotten Correspondent in her flinging of "mwah's", either. RC has been one of my biggest supporters in this blogging endeavour since I met her. She comes here faithfully, and reads whatever drivel I happen to spit out, and even has the niceness to comment on it. She certainly deserves that award.

Please forgive me if I don't fling any "mwah's" at folks right now, as I have a cold, so lovingly bestowed on me by a stupid coworker, whom I now get to fill-in for today. I'd hate for you to "suddenly be coughing up blood" while your boss is away, too.

Last, and certainly not least, this award come from Jo Beaufoix:

As RC noted, Jo was very brave in bestowing this award on our favourite crochety old man, Willowtree. (He's not really all that old, I just like to yank his chain sometimes. If you're the same age as the old man from Oz, don't take offense.) I love Jo, and I love Babs, her ostrich. Every time I drive by this farm out on Ga. Hwy 17, I think of Jo, because the guy raises emus and ostriches. The ironic thing about this award, is that I'm not spreading all that much love right now, since I haven't been here!

Once I stop working double shifts, preparing for parent-techer conferences this week, making something to bring for the TFYO's Valentine's Day party, and covering for hypochondriacal workers who claim to be coughing up blood while the boss is on vacation, I will be back to send out these awards to all the people that likely already have them. If you don't have one of these awards yet, leave a comment, and I'll put you on the list to thank, and you can take one for your blog! Kind of like the Piggly Wiggly for awards! Yeah!

Awash in Awards, again!

Yes, one of my very favourite bloggers has passed an award my way. He apparently thinks I'm related to Clint Eastwood. Or he's related to Clint Eastwood.

Either way, I apparently "Make His Day". This is from Dumdad, over at The Other Side of Paris.

Lovely award, isn't it? The colours and everything.

The instructions that come with this award say this:

Give the award to up to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel so happy about being part of the blogging community! Let them know by posting a comment on their blog so that they can pass it on!

But since I travel in a small circle, half the people I would give this to have already had the award bestowed on them by Dumdad already. I'd shake my tiny fist at him, but he's just given me an award, so that wouldn't be polite.

Just about everybody who reads here has probably already been over to see his blog, but if you haven't (and I'll link it again, just to be sure) go there now. Sometimes he does a "Pause for Poetry", and he has fabulous stories about working for a British newspaper. And drinking. There's usually a story about drinking, too.

I choose to bestow this award on (in no particular order): Bellevelma at Running with Books, Mike at The Grand View, jrh at Turkey on Whole Wheat, and to PixelPi at Motes, who hasn't been around much the last month or so, but whose pictures still make my day.

And for those that are wondering, my finger is doing much better. The bandage is off, the cut is sealed over, and I have a lovely gap where the top half of my finger nail used to be. I am amazed at how quickly and cleanly this healed, but it may have something to do with using a very sharp knife, and taking prenatal vitamins. Or maybe it was the initial application of Dora Band-aids.

It's Aliiiive!

Well, mostly.

I'm eating solid food ( I had my first real meal Tuesday night), and I can get up and move around without falling down. I lost a total of three pounds, and can you believe it? Just living on chicken broth, rice, Gatorade and Ensure, I managed to gain back a pound already. I apparently had some kind of food poisoning. Which is a shame because I think it came from one of my favourite restaurants. Yech.

At any rate, I am alive, and we all seem fine here.

I do need to acknowledge another award I got, again from Rotten Correspondent. I love her, but somehow I'm just going to have to design my own damn award so I can get around to giving her one.

RC thinks I'm Intellectually Stimulating. I'm not sure what this says about what she does in her spare time if she thinks I tickle her grey matter, but, hey, to each their own, and I get another shiny piece of stuff for my sidebar. Here is the award:

And here is the nice thing she said:
Jen has given me a real education of radio production, song lyrics and the healing properties of Duke's Mayonnaise. She also provides a fresh look at Life In The South, which I've been too close to to really appreciate.
Duke's is an elixir, just not when you have food poisoning. Remember that, kids.

Tomorrow, we will have a Friday Five, and then I need to get caught up on all your blogs, and the happenings around here, plus I've got some writing to do!

Baby Let's Play House

Sung by Elvis, written by Arthur Gunter. It's a Youtube clip. As you can see, as much as I like Arthur Gunter, there aren't a whole lot of lyrics, besides "baby".

Some housekeeping time!

Some of you who read here know that I belong to a new site cre8buzz.com. Some of you, including Jo Beaufoix and The Rotten Correspondent, are also members there.

Right now it's just in the beta stages but it's going public in a big way tomorrow (Sunday).

It's purpose is just what the site name says: to create a buzz. About what? Well, about your blog. If you're just starting out small, and you're looking at your lonely Hit Counter and only your Mom is coming to visit you, sign up at Cre8buzz, and let other people see who you are and what you're writing!

Or maybe you got hundreds of hits everyday, but you're greedy. You want more. You want thirty comments a day to be...one hundred. This is good for that, too.

Now, the link I have below to sign up for the beta today is for the Women category. However, I'd like to stress there are other categories you can join, including Art and Artists, Games, Religion, Politics, or pretty much whatever takes your fancy. You can visit whoever you want in whatever category you want. It's a social networking site for your blog.

Come on by and give it a shot. I can't wait to see what you avatar will be.

Also, I've received a couple of awards, and I've been remiss in thanking those people, who, while deluded, really are nice.

My first came from Willowtree, and it's even tasteful enough to put in my sidebar. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, go over to his blog at look at the Dingo Award. I love you , Willowtree, but I hope never to receive it. By the way, Willowtree is my blogging hero. I know his ego is big enough, and doesn't need help from me, but I love reading his posts. Even if half of them are videos of his dogs. This is the award he gave me:

It's actually not so strange that he gave me this award, as it is an award for giving him an award (see what I mean about the ego?). But he's also very talented in the graphics department, and it is a lovely award, so it is proudly displayed right at the top. I shall stop now before Willowtree's head explodes and I get a bill for the clean-up.

I also received an award from Rotten Correspondent, which seems to be getting to be a habit on her part. I would really just once love to give her an award. I think I gave her a thoughtful blogger award, once, maybe. But if she's going to keep piling these little gems of pixel joy on me, how can I refuse? I don't have quite as many readers as RC, but I always love it when she brings them with here. It's the best gift she good give me weak and fragile ego. This is the award she has given me:

An award she won herself, and certainly deserved it. It's an award for someone just starting to generate buzz among bloggers. I'm not sure if I qualify, but I do have someone picked out to receive it, and I will give it out with much fanfare later in the week, when I can't think of anything else to write *grin*

I'm off to work now, but please do take a moment to visit the sites mentioned here. You know, if you've got the time!

So let's go on with the shoooooow...

Just picture Ethel Merman singing that title, and you'll get the idea.

It seems I am awash in awards again. Both Jo Beaufoix and Rotten Correspondent have seen fit to give me awards.

I have to say, it would be nice to give them awards occasionally, and since we know all the same people, it also makes it tough to pass these awards along sometimes. But here we go!

From Jo, I got this:

And as she says on her blog, "Excellent, dude!" I'm not bodacious, my blog is. I'm going to put it on my resume. For those of you who have forgotten your 80's slang, Merriam-Webster has this to say:

Main entry: bodacious

Pronunciation: bO-'dA-sh&s
Function: adjective
Etymology: probably blend of bold and audacious
1 Southern & Midland : OUTRIGHT, UNMISTAKABLE
2 : REMARKABLE, NOTEWORTHY
3 : SEXY, VOLUPTUOUS - bo·da·cious·ly adverb

So, my blog is sexy, and I can live with that.

I'm giving it to (where's an embedded drum roll audio clip when you need one?):

Bellevelma at Running with Books. She's a runner and she likes books, too. She must be bodacious, and her blog surely is.

I've also decided to give one of these to Willowtree. Not because he needs the ego boost (he really doesn't), but because I'm on a quest to see how many of these things he can squeeze in his sidebar. He's got an interesting recipe for baked beans over there today.

Rotten Correspondent gave me this:

I'm calling it the Splat award, because that's what it looks like. But it's actually for blogging that "hits the mark".

I'm giving it to Dumdad at The Other Side of Paris. He's got a series going on his early days in Fleet Street, and I love reading those posts. That, and he's wonderfully funny and plays a mean game of ping-pong (table tennis, depending on where you're from). So, Dumdad, that one's for you.

Today, we are off to the child psychologist for testing, but I'm feeling much more relaxed about it now. Had a run in with the school psychologist last week, and we exchanged some words. The best part about her visit to the school, though, was that my child was a perfect angel the whole day. TFYO sat still for the entire forty-five minutes of circle time, raised her hands to answer questions, quietly helped her classmates complete their projects after finishing her own and played nicely on the playground with all of her peers. The only way the day could have been better is if she'd had a giant middle finger sticking out of her head and aimed at the school psychologist who is so hell bent on putting my child in a "special ed" class. I know that's petty, but she was really putting the pressure on my to let her do an evaluation. She was incredibly unhappy when I told her we were having an independent evaluation done. Both me and TFYO's teacher, Mrs. P, are on the same page with this. TFYO wold likely wither and die without being mainstreamed. Mrs. P doesn't like the school psychologist, either, which tells me something.

There she is, your ideal...

I'm running out of songs about awards. That line from the Theme Song to the Miss America Pageant.

The lovely Jo Beaufoix, apparently in another fit of fever, has chosen to bestow this award on me:

She got it from Leeandaluu at Wit's End, who nicely said every time she sees a slug she thinks of Jo.

I don't know that that's a criteria for giving out this award. I hope not. Because the following two people don't make me think of slugs. Quite the contrary.

So I'm awarding this to:

Willowtree over at A Dingo's Got My Barbie. His blog title alone gives me fits of giggles. And, like my husband, he likes baseball, so that's endearing. And I noticed he didn't have this award on his sidebar, either.

I'm also awarding this to Mike over at The Grand View. Even though he's a golf nut, I still like him. He's thoughtful, and he always has nice things to say about his wife, which makes me like him even more.

So, those are the awards, and I promise, my turkey adventure is coming forthwith.

Spin the Wheel...

Lyric courtesy of Mad Caddies and their song Game Show.

As promised, another award show! Gotta keep 'em movin'!

A little while ago, Rotten Correspondent gave me this:

Isn't it cool? I can be awesome even though I'm not a dude. Someone else who is awesome, and also not a dude is:

Bellevelma at Running with Books.

I've made no secret of the fact that she makes me laugh until I cry, but sometimes, she also just makes me cry with how much she loves her son. Which is awesome, even if it means I'm running through Kleenex at a rate that would make a pine forest shudder. So, Bellevelma you are an:

The lovely Jo, over at Jo Beaufoix, gave me this:

I don't know if she had dengue fever or what, but I appreciate it nonetheless. It's always nice when someone else thinks you're nice. And I can't think of anyone nicer than:

He's gotten an award from me before, but he really is just so gosh darn nice that he really deserves this. Even if it's not in manly-man colours. jrh has never been shy about talking about his faith, but he's also cool enough not to jump on anyone who might disagree. He's always struck me as someone who would have made a great teacher. And he's definitely nice, in a good guy kind of way.

So, to one of the nicest guys I know in blogdom, I bequeath this:

Okay, that's it. Short post (although I made it longer by doubling up the pics. Nice, eh?) . It's my day off and I need to mow the lawn before it rains again. See y'all back here tomorrow with a nice story about me meeting my in-laws for the first time.

Do It Again....

I am not generally considered by those who know me to be a nice person. I tend to be a little sarcastic, I don't fight fair (just ask my husband!), and a I can be a wretched bitch to people who are mean, egotistical or are just plain arseholes (I think RC is right, British slang is catching).

Granted, I will do almost anything for people in trouble, for friends who need me, children (even rotten ones), or for an animal that's looking pitifully at me from the side of the road

So, I was very pleasantly surprised that anyone would give me an award for being nice. And it comes from a person who is extraordinarily nice herself.

Jo Beaufoix is actually one of the nicest people I know, either in blogdom, or...what do we call this, realdom? Oh well, away from the blogs, too. She's thoughtful, always responds to comments, and did I mention she's pretty, too? Well, the bit I saw in that rather cropped picture, anyway. So, she's got a lovely smile, gorgeous eyes, and a cute nose. And I'm amazed that I could meet someone so like me as a mom, who lives on the other side of the Atlantic.

Funny thing is, I can't quite remember how we met.

Now, please don't hate me, Jo. I just can't remember if I saw you over at The Rotten Correspondent, or if you came over here with her! And besides, since you're a nice person, you forgive my little lapse in memory, right? Right?

This is the award:

She got it from Wit's End...who sounds like someone I'd like to get to know.

And it shall go with the one given to me by Rotten Correspondent.

I promise to hold an awards show next week, on Wednesday. Why yes, I do plan that far ahead. Truth is, if you guys keep giving me awards, I won't have to think up topics to write about anymore, all I'll have to do is keep writing about the awards I've got, and pass them on to other people.

I wonder if this is like money laundering. Blog award laundering?

Saturday, August 18, 2007

Lad, I don't know where you've been, but I see you've won first prize...

Okay, time to clean up nice and line up on the red carpet...although mine is sort of that icky builder's beige colour.

Bellevelma over at Running With Books was nice enough to bestow a couple of awards on me. And etiquette says I need to pass them on. And I like you guys, so there's that, too.

So, my first award goes to Dumdad over at The Other Side of Paris. He receives a :

He gets this because he always has the coolest cartoons, which he draws himself. And I suppose I should really encourage him to share this award with his son Brainbox, without whom Dumdad wouldn't have some of the fancy videos on his site, either. Check out The Match of the Century if you don't believe me. And they say journalists aren't creative....

The other award goes to Mike at The Grand View. He gets a:

Mike has been dropping in here a bit, and he always has something nice to say. He also takes the time to respond to comments on his own blog. If he hadn't taken the time to comment here, I never would've gotten to see his page, which has a great selection of lists, I might add. His Friday lists are much bigger and more ambitious than mine, and he calls them 5 x 5's. He also has a wee obsession with golf, but I like him, anyway.

For more info on what these awards mean, you can go here to find out about their origins. These awards were created by Christy at Writer's Review. All you guys need to do is right click and save your awards. I went ahead and posted the white background awards, since you both have light backgrounds on your blogs, it'll save you a step!

Okay, that's the award show, and you didn't even have to sit through David Letterman, or any fancy song and dance numbers. If you were expecting song and dance numbers, I'm truly sorry. This is the best I can do:

I've got Cash and Prizes...

Well, not cash. Thanks to Del Amitri (you know, the guys who did Roll to Me) for the lyric.

I am awash in awards again. I'm not really sure how or why this keeps happening.

But apparently, Bellevelma over at Running with Books seems to think I'm worthy of a few more.

I have received, again, a:

and a

Thank you, Belle!

Most of you who read here are probably familiar with Bellevelma, as she comments here a bit. If you haven't taken the time to go see her, do it now. Only, bring some pain killers with you, because they are necessary to take the edge off the laugh cramp you get while reading. Shots of alcohol or a nice bottle of Shiraz also do the trick.

I would like to note that this is the third Thoughtful Blogger Award and the second Creative Blogger Award I've received in recent weeks.

If this continues, I will have to take Belle's advice, and resort to a system of hash marks in the side bar. I'll have to cut and past these together, somehow.

I'll redistribute these in a couple of days, once my brain has settled a bit. Things will be a bit hectic the next few days, but I have reason to believe my weekend hours may be cut back a bit soon. Not that I want that, but we've hired another part-timer, and hours were scarce to begin with.

They got a name for the winners in the world

I was going through my blogroll, and realized there was someone on the list who doesn't have an award, so I decided to pass along my award from yesterday on to:

Flutterbot (although the actual title is Flutterbots and Roboflies, either way, very cool)

So Flutterbot, here ya go...

She has one of the coolest profile pics I've ever seen, and she's a very talented graphic artist. I know y'all have seen her over her a few times, and she never hesitates to leave a nice comment. She was also one of the first blogs I discovered when I signed on here. Go on over and see her!

I've got more to write, but it will be later. Stay tuned for "The Seven Plagues of Guyton, GA".

Quick update: For all y'all asking for audio clips to hear my voice, you can now go to my profile and hear my voice. A couple of people have had to download the clip to hear it, but at least you've got access to it. It's my generic demo that I've been using to try to get commercial work, so it's a mishmash of promos and commercials I've done. And yes, I've done all the editing on these myself.

....and I bring you...FIRE!

With thanks to the Crazy World of Arthur Brown for the lyric. Go find this song and listen to it. My Dad used to scare the hell out of me with that 45.

I'll get to my main post in a minute...

But I've been given another blog award! I'll have to redesign the sidebar to make all this stuff fit. This one comes from Poetess with Humour:

I am now a Thoughtful Blogger Times Two. I'm still not sure where I'm going to put it, or who I would pass it to, as I think just about everyone on my blog roll has this award from someone. Either way, thank you Poetess! If you haven't checked out her blog, head over there. She writes some amazing poetry, and has a gift for putting almost anything into rhyme.

A little while back, Rotten Correspondent had asked for some radio stories, and I've been wracking my brain trying to think of one that might be even remotely interesting to someone not in radio. So, gather 'round, my children and I shall tell you the tale of ....

The Great Wake Up Crew Fire of 2004

A few years back, we were living in Memphis. I was sort of the all-around part-timer. I did production (commercials to the layman), I did traffic reports, sometimes a newscasts here and there, and I filled in for vacationing and sick air talent.

One of my gigs was to fill in for the female voice on our classic rock station's morning show, "The Wake Up Crew". It was fun. The guys were obnoxious, but in a sweet DJ kind of way. There were lots of boob jokes, jokes about sex, and jokes about the mayor of Memphis who was affectionately referred to as King Willie. I liked doing mornings with these guys, although I was acutely aware of my "role". My role was to read a sixty second news cast at the top of each hour for three hours, and to aurally nod and laugh at whatever anyone else said. There was no star billing here, and I was cool with that.

Our group of stations had recently moved into a new building outside of downtown. We were up on the top floor, the fourth one. One of the elevators kept getting stuck, and they'd been testing the fire alarms all that week. It was really annoying, especially because they'd beep for a second and then stop. I had just finished doing my 8 a.m. news when the damn things went off again. Now, in a studio, we don't hear the screaming of the alarm (makes for bad radio, y'know), but we do have an annoying strobe light that flashes fast enough to send any epileptic into a seizure. So it flashed. And flashed. And flashed. And it wouldn't stop.

I started to get nervous, throwing Tim these "Shouldn't we be doing something about this?" looks, checking over my shoulder. During a commercial break, I poked my head out into the hall, and the sound was deafening. No one knew what was going on, so we started talking about it on the air. "Bad Dog" (second guy on the show), took his cell phone and volunteered to find out what all the hubbub was. "Bad Dog" called back in a just a few seconds from the bottom of the stair well.

Turns out, the elevator was on fire. The elevator that kept getting stuck. The elevator I had ridden up to the fourth floor at five o'clock that morning.

"Dog" had already taken the advice of management and evacuated the building, leaving me and Tim, and Brian our producer/phone screener upstairs, on the air, with the fire alarm blaring in the background. Once it had been established that there was in fact a fire, I yanked my headphones off, told all our listeners to have a nice day, and got the hell out of there. I think I had made it to the bottom stair before Tim had managed to put on Peter Frampton "Do You Feel Like I Do?" and the station into automation.

We were eventually given the all clear, and made it back up in time before Frampton was over. I then got to be heckled by Tim and Dog for being so scared (fire and elevators are two of my biggest phobias), but I was not the object of derision for long. It turns out, one of our Traffic and Continuity people, Judy, was stuck in the elevator where the fire had happened. The fire was actually in the elevator shaft, just below where she was. It was a minor fire, just some scorched insulation and wiring, but the elevator was stuck just shy of the fourth floor. So what does Dog do? He walks down there and calls her cell phone. She wisely refused to go on the air with us. Judy wasn't a small woman, but they managed to get her up through the hatch in the roof of the elevator.

I took the stairs for the next six months.

If you want audio of this, I have it saved somewhere, and I'll be happy to e-mail it to you, since I still haven't found a reliable audio host yet. If y'all find one, let me know.

These things are gone forever, Over a long time ago

If anyone knows the song that lyric came from, the title might make more sense. It's a Steely Dan song, if it helps. Gurnal should know it, and no Googling people!

So, this is sort of a round-up of various things, not really connected, but sort of. Er, yeah.

UPDATE : Okay, I never had this many friends in school. I'm feeling a little embarassed, because...well, because I tend to curl up into the fetal position when I'm given compliments. I've been given more awards and a wheel barrow full of compliments from my friend The Rotten Correspondent. I've said this before, but she is one of my very favourite people in blogdom.

So, she's given me a Rockin' Blogger award ( I always wanted to be a rock chick, no really!), and she's also given me a :

I've already given out two of these, and now I get one back! Must be some good blog karma going around.

And yes, I'll get around to passing these on, I swear. Once I uncurl from the fetal position under my desk. Now, back to your regularly scheduled posting.

______________________________________
First up, you may have noticed I've gleaned another award. I suddenly feel very important and egotistical. Which means y'all might not want to give me anymore of these. My head might get too big to fit in here.

This one comes from the lovely Mya over at Missing You Already. She even managed to do this while on holiday in England!

Mike from Ordinary Folk who designed the award says, "Schmoozing as defined by Dictionary.com is the ability “to converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage or make a social connection." I think I agree with Mya that this definition makes all of us award winners sound a bit like slimy ass-kissers. She says it's really meant to be warmer, and nicer, more of a "getting-ready-to-meet-new-people" kind of thing. And since I've been given this award, I tend to agree. I think I'm supposed to pass it on to five more people, but I'm going to wait a week, just to be a pain in the ass, and because all of us seem to be winning the same awards.

On a completely unrelated note: the cats. We still haven't heard anything, and the Humane Society worker we talked to yesterday (after she dropped her snotty attitude) said she'd just love to let us adopt Zoe and Chloe, but her supervisor is a real stickler for complete forms. My husband told her that if her supervisor has an issue she can call us. It's not looking good. However, we can always adopt from another rescue group. I'd be happy to have them do a home visit if I thought it would help. I could also just go hang out in the city for half an hour and take the first cat that followed me home (and I mean the four-legged kind!).

And finally, why is it that on crayon boxes they always print "NON-TOXIC CRAYONS"? Does that mean there's someone out there actually selling toxic crayons? And if they were, does anyone think they'd tell us? I mean, would they print "GENUINE TOXIC CRAYONS" on the boxes? I could just see the advertising campaign now: 'Genuine toxic crayons, guaranteed to grow you a third eye, burn through skin, and contaminate your bloodstream, or your money back. Assuming you survive."

Right, that's enough rambling. I think I'll go polish my awards.

Wake and find you're covered in cellophane...

That lyric has nothing to do with anything. I just like it. I'll send a prize to the first person who can name the song and artist correctly in the comment section (but you'll have to e-mail me your address). It's not much of a prize but you can say you got something from me!

Speaking of prizes:

Jo Beaufoix has given me an award!!!

"The Thoughtful Blogger Award is one of five distinct awards in a series of awards created by Writers Reviews' intuitive, creative and most thoughtful blogger herself, Christy Zutautas. There is a specific description for each award listed here along with the award rules. Writers Reviews has created a way to honour the bloggers we admire in a personable way on an individual basis, that frees us to celebrate each blogs unique contribution.”

Or so it says on Jo's blog. I've never won an award for blogging before, and I feel honoured.

My task is now to give out five awards as well.

So, without further adieu...

mjd at Return of the White Robin gets a :

jrh at Turkey on Whole Wheat also gets a:

Robot Lord of Tokyo at 10001110101 gets a:

(They didn't have a smart ass award, sorry!)

Saphyre Rose at Sun and Moon Sorcery gets a:

Because she kicks ass.

And nate over at shut the kids up. gets a:

because his art is some of the most creative stuff I've seen.

There's my five, oh, and Jo also tagged me for a meme, but that'll have to wait until tomorrow! Sorry!
