Ooooo, baby, baby...

With thanks to the eloquent Salt-n-Pepa for the lyric.

So, we had a lovely visit to the OBGYN on Tuesday. Got some lovely ultrasound pics, including this one where she's trying to stick her foot in her mouth.

Oh, yes. I did say "her" foot. TFYO was right all those months ago. We are having a girl, and we've already decided her name. She will, for now, be known as Baby J.

Baby J is very healthy, as well as apparently very limber. She was very active during the ultrasound, grabbing her feet, and smacking my tummy every time the ultrasound wand got close to her little fist. I think I may have been right a few days ago when I said "I may be giving birth to a Cirque du Soleil troupe".

Not a troupe, just one really flexible baby.

laurie I'm about half way through the pregnancy. As for bigger, do you mean me or the baby? If you mean me, I've probably got another fifteen to twenty pounds to gain *sigh* Baby J is a the length of a good sized banana.

you can't have it yet!
I haven't finished the baby gift!!!
I need more...supplies and I cannot drive until the stitches and staples are removed...anyone got a screwdriver?

Congratulations!! I love her little toes - so cute! I had one very active baby, and one very calm baby. They came out just the same. Now they are both pretty calm, and perhaps the calmer one then is a bit wilder now. I think that is in the DNA or Y chromosome.

Congratulations! My active one is still active. When I try to share a bed with her, it's like I'm pregnant all over again (she's kicking me in the ribs, the bladder, the kidneys....)

Ahhh two girls is fab. TFYO wll love having a little sister - most of the time.
Miss M used to kick and poke back at anyone who decided to prod her. Hee hee. That's always a useful skill for a second child to have.
Both mine were very active and still are, though they have nice calm times too.
So glad to see all is well Jen.
Can't wait to 'meet' baby J.

Fabulous. Seeing that scan brings back memories. I've still got the all scans of my two kids.

Two girls! How very cool! Baby J. huh? Now we all get to wonder about that for the next few months. Jezebel? Jemimah? Jewel?

Hmmm...

And I know you've said, but I can't remember exactly. WHEN are you due??

Very cute! I'd say that she takes after you, but I'm afraid you might take that the wrong way (I'd mean it only in the very best way possible!). Oh, and that smacking in the tummy thing? It never ends - my daughter did that to me last week. She turns 26 tomorrow. The only difference is that now it comes from the outside.

Wow, that baby looks like it knows, like, gymnastics or something.

By the way, I had the fudge. It was AWESOME!
