Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh, My!

It was a horrible weekend. I've been sick. Really sick. Whoever coined the term morning sickness should be thrown up against a wall and shot. Then revived and shot again.

Sorry for not posting yesterday, and this post will be short, too.

I'm too busy sipping Gatorade, trying to stop this spinning in my head.

I lost two pounds over the weekend, which would normally have me jumping for joy. But of course, I'm supposed to be gaining weight, not losing it.

Yes, the doctor is giving me a prescription for Phenergan. I should have taken it when it was offered to me two weeks ago, but I thought I was tough. That's me. Tough as a bag of cotton balls.

Ugh.

So, if you don't hear from me or see me around for a couple of days, it's because I am...er, indisposed. I promise to catch up as soon as I can keep my intestines inside of me.

Sounds like you have the flu, not morning sickness. It seems to be flying across the country. Take good care of yourself.

Ug. So, so, SO sorry. Here's hoping it passes very, very quickly. And that the phenergan helps like it's supposed to.

Hope the phenergan works for you. I can't drink Gatorade in my normal state of health (usually far from normal) so certainly couldn't drink it under your circumstances, but if it stays down and does its job, then it's a good thing. Hope you feel better!

Oh, Jen. I am, also, very sorry you aren't well. Don't know if this will help, or make things worse, but I've had luck with slowly sipping apple juice. When you feel you can take something solid, I always turn to baked potatoes first. I find them very comforting. I hope you can get some rest as well.

I am so SO sorry that you feel so crappy. I agree with auntie barbie about the flu - has TFYO's school got it going around?

Take care of yourself and rest. We'll be here when you're up and about.

xoxo

oh, and Phenergan? Two thumbs up!

Jen,
Poor you!
Hold on to those intestines - they're quite useful, you know.
Feel better soon.

Hope you're feeling a bit better by now.

I've experienced morning sickness on occasions but oddly I've never been pregnant. I find 10 pints of best bitter and a vindaloo has a similar effect.

Hope you feel chipper soon.

So it's food poisoning for sure? Any idea what you ate?

Thank you all for your kind words and concern, you guys. I'm really on the mend now. Sorry to be out of touch, but sitting up for extended periods at the computer made my head unhappy.

And yes, it was food poisoning. And it was barbecue, I think. Which I love. I'm kind of hoping it was the salad, but...
