Friday Five

All right, I'm a little late with the Friday Five. TFYO didn't have school today, and she and I both slept in. Well, she slept in for an extra fifteen minutes, and then rousted me out of bed. Sorry.

We're going to keep it simple today.

Five Things That Make Me Happy

1. Fresh, warm apple pie. Not a la mode, but with fresh whipped cream.

2. Hearing TFYO laugh outside while she plays with her Daddy.

3. Monday and Wednesday mornings, when I get to do whatever the hell I want to. Which usually involves a cup of tea, making the AC as cold as I can without feeling guilty, a blanket and the newspaper.

4. The ocean. Hearing it, smelling it, feeling it.

5. My husband, who never expects me to do the dishes or the laundry on Mondays and Wednesdays.

There, simple, sweet, to the point, and just a little sappy. Perfect for a hormonal pregnant woman who has started weeping at Hallmark commercials.

What makes you happy?

Another one to think about. Ok, here goes.
1. Sitting down to read in the afternoon with all three of the dogs in my lap sleeping.
2. The sound of hummingbirds at my feeders.
3. Digging in the dirt, or gardening. I find it very therapeutic.
4. Having fresh flowers in the house in the winter time.
5. Uncle Ronnie, because he has given me all I need to be happy.

Wasn't the quiz enought to think about this week? :-)

Ok here goes.

1. Watching my wife sleep.
2. Waking up in the morning.
3. Hearing a song that I haven't heard in awhile.
4. The sound of waves crashing on the shore.
5. Playing a round of golf with a good friend. (yep golf!)

Ahh Jen I need this moment of calm after my rant.

What makes me happy?

1. Hugs from my girls.
2. When Mr B makes me laugh.
3. Baby animals - they just make me smile.
4. A beautiful warm day and a country view from a country pub.
5. A day to myself.

Ooo soppy I know but I need some slush.

Hey Jen. Ray shouldn't have you doing dishes or laundry at ALL for the next 8-ish months. :)

Five things that make me happy.

1) Waking up in the morning all curled up in my blankets - with my tummy all warm (where one of my cats is sleeping) and the back of my legs warm (where my dog is sleeping under the blankets).

2) The first snowfall. It's so pretty...

3) Decorating my house for the holidays. Whether it be Halloween, Christmas, whatever. I love the idea of getting all my ideas together and seeing it unfold.

4) Cooking. I love to cook - it makes me happy. It also makes me happy if the people I cook for don't get sick after eating what I've cooked for them. :)

5) A good cup of tea. Especially after walking the dog at night - it warms you up!

1. A day at the beach (the whole summer would be nice...) but a full day, morning, afternoon, and when the sun goes down, and after.

2. Being alone in my house and the peace and quiet that comes with it - even if I am cleaning.

3. Nice music.

4. Warm chocolate pudding.

5. My family.

6. (Can I keep going?) Rain. Snow. Clear crisp weather.

7. A fire in the fireplace.

Thank you for reminding me to stop and smell the roses today!
