WKRP in Cincinnati...

Poetess complimented me on my choice of Paul Anka in my last post...and I have to confess, I'm not a Paul Anka fan. The reason I thought of the song in the first place was because of the pilot episode of WKRP in Cincinnati.

I've always loved this show. It's the only one of two TV shows I've ever seen that got the atmosphere at a radio station right. The other show was Newsradio.

So, I found the clip where Johnny plays the "Hallelujah Tabernacle Choir's" rendition of "You're Having my Baby". It's about two minutes into the clip. The rest of it's not bad either....

And thanks again for all your good wishes, y'all.

WKRP was one of my favourite shows, as was Newsradio. I drove through Cincinnati one time and couldn't stop singing the theme song for the next three days!

PS I've never been a fan of Paul Anka, and I like him even less now for foisting Michael Buble on us.

Ah, now, Michael Buble wouldn't be so bad if he'd just stop getting drunk and puking on people's shrubs. He's kinda cute in that chubby Canadian boy kind of way.

I loved WKRP when it was first on and it's still funny today.

Paul Anka...not so much.

Great show -- lots of good bits. It seems all that much more funny now that I'm living in Cincinnati.

I have been corrected by my father Paula anka did not sing Hey Paula. that was Paul and Paula. Just watched a clip of it on U Tube.

Great clip!! I'd forgotten how good that show was.

And yeah, Paul Anka has never been one of my favorites, athough Mrs. Me seems to think he was really keen. I do like Michael Buble's singing, though probably not his puking. I'd have to hear it.
